My First Cat Agility Trick: The High Jump

Summer tries out her new cat agility kit with her first challenge: mastering the high jump. The video shows how she does.

My human ordered me an agility kit to see how I’d like it. But first you need to know my history with cat agility.

There actually is none! The bigger cat shows sometimes have agility rings, and cats compete. But the one time I tried out agility, I totally failed! I didn’t know what to do with all these different things. I just sat there, hoping the audience sitting in front of the ring would admire me. Finally my human had me do a couple of high fives as consolation. So she didn’t think I’d be interested.

But I’ve been having so much fun with the hoop jumping that when one of my social media followers suggested an agility kit, she went for it. She just got a cheap little beginner’s kit, so all the parts are a little flimsy. But it should be good for a start.

At first I didn’t know what I was supposed to do, so she set the bar really low. Which of course was just too easy for me.

It only took a couple of tries before my human set the bar higher. I had lots of fun with this!
